Jesus, take the wheel song
“Jesus, take the wheel” is a song by Carrie Underwood that is included in her first album, “Some Hearts”. She is the winner of the American Idol contest, in its fourth season.
We can see in the music video, how the song tells us the story of a young mother with several problems. She can’t find the time to do what she wants, and maybe she isn’t sure of what she wants either. She also has troubles with the baby’s father, as we can see both of them arguing in the middle of the video. The title of the song, “Jesus, take the wheel”, refers when the woman’s car gets out of control and she asks Jesus to save her. However, this is clearly also a metaphor to her whole life, as she gives herself into the arms of Jesus for protection and guidance.

Wow! I can’t believe that she sang this song on American Idol as a guest visit! That they let her sing it- of all the songs she chose THIS one!!! That shows just how passionate she is for Jesus and now my mom will FINALLY let me get an American Idol CD because it is a CHRISTIAN American Idol and she is showing America just how great our Lord is. This song first left me speechless, then gradually a huge grin was stuck on my face- and then I was just singing my heart out! I LOVE CARRIE!!!

I LUV this song!!! the first time i heard it, i was amazed by the depth of the meaning that the song really has. let alone the fact im a fan a country music anyways, this song means a lot to me.i sang this song at my church and a lot of ppl told me i sounded kinda like carrie, but i know i didn’t.
